Alana Thompson Mourns Late Sister: “You Will Forever Cheer Me on in Heaven”

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson revealed her deepest losses.Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell, the 18-year-old’s sister, died this weekend after being diagnosed with a deadly malignancy, according to Sunday’s story.Her age was 29.The terrible news was confirmed by Alana and Anna’s mother, June Shannon.“With the breaking heart, we are announcing that @annamarie35 is no longer with us,” June posted on Instagram December 10 with a photo of herself, Anna, and their family on a set.

“She died peacefully at 11:12 PM in my home last night.”Shannon stated, “She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months she passed away with her family around her like she won’t and we will update y’all with more information as we get it today.

We adore you and pray for our family during this terrible time.”Alana and Anna became close; Anna even cared for June during her year-long substance abuse battle.Alana commented on social media, “This is one post I wish I didn’t have to make,” shortly after Anna died.

Anna was loved and told she could depart last night. Anna died around 11 pm.Anna suffered yesterday night, but our family knows she is at peace. My heart is broken, therefore I don’t know what to say.”Cardwell was diagnosed with adrenal carcinoma in March, “a rare disease in which malignant (cancer) cells form in the outer layer of the adrenal gland,” according to the National Cancer Institute.

Shannon has often stated that her oldest daughter will die from this sickness. Nothing could be done.Thompson, a former child beauty pageant contestant who appeared in her own reality program as a young lady, said seeing Cardwell face cancer was hard.”Watching my 29-year-old sister battle this dreadful cancer last year was hard.

Anna is still a warrior. Lord, please wrap your arms around her 2 babies & our family as the next couple of days will make this all a reality,” the teen wrote, referring to Cardwell’s daughters Kaitlyn Elizabeth and Kylee Madison.Alana addressed her sister:“Thank goodness you waited until I got home to die!“I wish you could have seen me graduate college, but I know you will always cheer me on in heaven!”To conclude her heartbreaking post, Alana wrote:

“We will preserve your legacy forever. I will always celebrate our birthday as you were here!“The sky is different today. Anna, we adore you constantly.“You hit me hard with his one Anna, but I know you’re in a better place now and pain-free forever
