5 Ways to Create a Yoga Studio in Your Home: Want to turn your house into a yoga studio? No matter if it’s a separate room or a corner of your living room or bedroom, these seven tips will help you make it your own. As an added bonus, you don’t need any special gear to do yoga.

A Zen yoga studio, on the other hand, is a truly relaxing place to be. At home, I’ve tried to make my yoga room like the one I love at the studio I go to. A relaxing yoga class can be done without having to drive or spend a lot of money.

1. Relaxing wall paint like Sherwin Williams Refuge sets the mood.

  • It’s important that your home yoga space feels like a safe place where you can escape the daily chaos of kids and dirty dishes.
  • Colours on the walls can have a big effect on how calm you feel. Sherri-Williams Refuge paint was used to paint the walls of this yoga room.
  • We have the same deep blue colour in our master bedroom, which is very relaxing.
  • Being in a room with some natural light makes it moody without being too dark.

2. Get a comfortable yoga mat.

  • For a lot of us, the yoga mat has been around for too long.
  • It can be very helpful to get a new yoga mat to make your practice more fun.
