In 1991, following his graduation from college, he secured employment with Standard Chartered Bank. After a brief stint of employment at the bank, he moved to Mumbai in 1992 to pursue a career in Bollywood.His first break came from Kalyanji (music director and composer), who picked him to play in live international performances when he arrived in Mumbai.
