  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  •  cup white sugar
  •  cup margarine or butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

  2. Fill a mixing bowl with corn syrup, sugar, melted margarine, eggs, and salt. Using an electric mixer, whip the ingredients together until they are completely incorporated. Pecans and chocolate chips should be stirred in. Transfer the mixture to the pie crust.

  3. Bake in an oven that has been prepared until it is set, which should take between forty and fifty minutes.
