‘Sister Wives’ Stars Kody & Robyn Have an ‘Agreement’ to ‘Free Each Other’ if They Aren’t in Love

Kody said on the ‘One on One’ special that he and his wife ‘wouldn’t drag each other out’ if they fell out of love.He disclosed on the December 10 Sister Wives: One on One special that Kody and Robyn Brown made one commitment to each other. The 54-year-old TLC host detailed what would happen if he and Robyn, 45, fell out of love.
Robyn and I agreed not to drag each other out if we weren’t in love. That we’d free each other, Kody said. I told the other wives about my agreement with Robyn once we had it. They were also frustrated by “anyone who wants to leave can leave.” That even enraged Meri Brown.”

Meri, 52, said her ex-husband, whom she divorced last year, “holds [that agreement] dear with Robyn” and compared it to the covenant she and Kody made with Robyn. Lizzie’s Heritage Inn owner said he “fell out of love” with her. I only base that on that scene where he said, ‘If I ever fall out of love with you, don’t string me along,’ or whatever his words were, Meri ended.

“He’s sitting here telling Robyn, ‘That’s the agreement that you and I made, that if I ever felt like that, I wouldn’t hold you in this place.’ Meri continued and mentioned their sacred covenant. “I said, ‘Then why did you not respect me enough as a human being?’”

Meri and Kody announced their split on Instagram earlier this year, saying, “In light of a recent unapproved press release, we feel compelled to share our own truth, in our own way and in our own timing. We decided to end our marriage after over a decade of working on it in our own individual ways. We are also devoted to repairing all family connections so we can go forward with forgiveness, grace, and love.”

Kody divorced Janelle Brown and Christine Brown before their split. Season 18 showed Kody and Robyn’s transition to monogamy after their divorces from the family patriarch.
