World’s Greenest Dog-Tubby: Since Tubby made such a significant contribution to the field of waste management and environmental protection, he will be remembered for always. On Tuesday, the neighbours of the Torfean neighbourhood in South East Wales, United Kingdom, said their final goodbyes to Tubby, who had passed away at the age of 13.

The year 2011 marked the year that Tubby, also known as the world’s greenest dog, was recognised as having earned a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Due to the dog’s unrelenting pursuit of sniffing out and picking with its mouth the used plastic bottles that he encountered on his daily walks, he was able to crush them and hand them over to his master Sandra Gilmore so that they could be recycled.

This achievement earned the dog a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. According to Sandra Gilmore, her much-loved Tubby accumulated more than fifty thousand bottles that were no longer needed during his lifetime.  As a result, he contributed to the creation of liveable environments that were more environmentally friendly and cleaner.

A noble creature such as Tubby or service dogs around the world, including the Famous Surfing Dog of Australia, only serves to affirm our opinion that dogs in particular and pets in general have the potential to contribute significantly more to our society than they currently do, provided that we are willing to accept that change and elevate our compassion for animals. His death has occurred, Tubby, the Torfaen Recycling Dog.Our beloved Torfaen recycling dog, Tubby, has passed away. It has been reported that Tubby, the well-known recycling Labrador who appeared in the 2011 edition of the book “Guinness World Records,” has passed away due to cancer. By assisting his owner Sandra Gilmore in recycling approximately 50,000 plastic bottles over the course of the past six years, Tubby has been beneficial.
